What does a MAP sensor do?

The MAP sensor (Manifold Absolute Pressure) measures the intake manifold pressure to help the ECU adjust the air/fuel ratio for efficient combustion.

Signs of a failing MAP sensor

Poor fuel economy, engine misfires, or rough idling may indicate a faulty sensor. Replacing it helps restore engine performance and fuel efficiency.
