what is stopsel used for?

StopSel is a product that allows you to rinse your material and your salt engine.Efficient on all types of engines: outboard, inboard, sailboats, jetski, car engines or your various equipment items, it is an essential partner in the wintering of your boat.

StopSel is specially formulated to dissolve salt, largely responsible for corrosion of your various materials.Indeed, corrosion may be dreaded when you navigate in salty areas, it is no less non-existent if you navigate in fresh water.

StopSel is formulated to not be harmful to aluminum, ininox and other materials on your boat.

By regularly applying StopSel on vulnerable surfaces, the action is double: dissolve the salt already present, and protect your surfaces with a protective film, corrosion inhibitor and thus allow your material to last longer.

how do you flush your outboard motor?

For outboard motors, or inboards equipped with a Z drive and watercraft, you will need to use the item on your screen: Automix.


If your engine is equipped with a direct rinsing system with a "gardena" type clip : intercall the Automix containing the StopSel between the arrival of water and the direct rinsing system.Open the tap with little pressure (just enough for the water to come out of the control dip) and let it rot until the water contained in the Automix is clear.

Storage before storage : use hot motor rinsing ears.Place the ears on the aspiration at the propeller level by inserting the Automix containing the Stopsel.Let the engine run at idle, leaving a little water pressure (just enough for the water to come out of the dip) for about 1 minute.Stop the water and the engine.Leave the rinse for 1 hour or more then finish the rinse until the water in the small tank of the automix is clear.

Regular : Place the ears on the aspiration at the propeller level by inserting the Automix containing the StopSel.Let the engine run at idle, leaving a little water pressure, until the water in the Automix tank is clear.

how to rinse your Inboard engine?

1st possibility

First, close the water arrival valve to the water pass.Then disconnect the water pipe, and put it in the water-filled bucket with the StopSel (1 volume of StopSel for 5 volumes of water).

Then turn the engine and be careful not to turn it dry.As soon as the product comes out by the exhaust, stop the engine and let it act at least one hour.

Restart the engine and finish rinsing with the rest of the mixture.

2nd possibility

First, close the water arrival valve to the water pass, fill a water bucket with 1 volume of StopSel for 5 volumes of water and gradually pour it into the water filter.

Turn the motor by making it attentiobn not turn it dry and, as soon as the product goes out by the exhaust, stop the engine and let act for a minimum hour.

Restart the engine and finish rinsing with the rest of the mixture.
