While traditional current isolation switches require a minimum current when turned on, models with the "mechanical ON-OFF" position, such as the 08097160 Series Battery Disconnect, draw current only during the travel phase or when they are switched from (OFF) to (ON) and vice versa. Generally called "bi-stable with zero consumption", their switches rotate in the closed or open state of the electrical circuit.
The 08097160 series remote battery disconnect switch is available in various configurations with options for 250A or 350A continuous voltage rating, 24V or 12V coil voltage rating, and 4-way or 7-way DIN connectors DIN.
