What is the role of your exhaust manifold seal?

The function of the exhaust manifold joint is to prevent any leakage of gas or exhaust water from the junction between your explosion engine and the exhaust manifold responsible for collecting the gases emitted by the combustion of the fuel inside each cylinder, but also the sea water that evacuates.Usually machined in a sheet of steel or graphite, the exhaust manifold joint, according to the layout of your engine, is most often designed of a single holder for all cylinders online, or sometimes per unit, pair or trio of cylinders.

When do you change your exhaust manifold joint?

At each visit of your exhaust collectors, it is recommended to inspect your collectors before the season to ensure the good condition of the collectors.An exhaust manifold joint can also be degraded by heat, vibration or corrosion.It no longer ensures motor/collector sealing and must be replaced.
